Introduction

 

For the working problem of the die, we can know from the section diagram provided by the sample of the die supplier that the internal structure of the die is mainly divided into six areas: inlet area, lubrication area, compression area, sizing area, safety angle and outlet area. The most important thing is the yield extrusion stress in the compression area and the friction force in the sizing area. The drawing stress when passing through the die is determined by the yield stress, compression ratio, working area angle, material friction coefficient and post tensile stress of copper-clad steel itself. The yield stress of copper clad steel itself is also based on the addition principle, which is obtained by accumulating the yield stress of copper and steel according to the contribution ratio.

 

Finally, the wire drawing is completed through the tower wheel on the equipment. As mentioned earlier, sliding wire drawing basically depends on sliding friction, that is, the movement speed of copper-clad steel on the tower wheel is less than the linear rotation speed of the tower wheel, so it is always in a relaxed state at the incoming end (the back tension is 0). On the contrary, if the incoming end is not tight, it will increase the back tension, thus increasing the front tension, which is easy to lead to wire breakage. The final result is that the elongation coefficient of the wire passing through the wire drawing die should be greater than the gradient of the adjacent tower pulley, expressed as μ/ε> 1. In this way, during the drawing process, the wire is tightly wound on the tower wheel and moves forward synchronously, and sometimes loosened and slipped. Of course, this will wear the surface of the tower wheel and increase the power loss.

 

The ratio of the linear speed of tower wheel rotation to the speed of wire rod during drawing is called sliding coefficient; The difference between the linear speed of tower wheel rotation and the speed of wire rod during drawing is the absolute sliding amount; The ratio of absolute sliding amount to the linear speed of tower wheel rotation is called sliding rate; The cumulative sliding coefficient is the multiple of the sliding coefficients of each pass, and the cumulative sliding rate is 1-1 / cumulative sliding coefficient.
